Las Vegas Elite Runners

West Regional XC Challenge

November 21, 2020
Floyd Lamb Park

The Las Vegas Elite Runners completed their last local cross country meet of the season on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Floyd Lamb Regional Park. While the season offered many challenges regarding COVID-19, it was rewarding that we got through the season being able to practice and compete safely.

In regard to the race results, Jasiah Davis finished first in the Boys 8U 2K race. He showed great promise this year and surprised everyone with his determination, toughness, and front runner mentality. He is a born leader not only on the race course but also in practice and the classroom where he is a top student who regularly receives praise and awards for his accomplishments.

Finishing second in the same Boys 8U 2K race was Roland Johns-Clemmons. Roland also had a good season. His love for long distance running is evident in practice as he never seems to get tired of running. Roland is a great kid who practices hard and never ever complains. As his running experiences grow, so will his performances, as the sky is the limit for him.

Christoph Clemmons ran in the Boys 9-10 3K and finished fifth. While Christoph is not necessarily a long distance runner, he showed up to practice and finished every race. While his season was a little up and down performance wise, we commend Christoph for staying the course, completing the season and being a good teammate.

Although, Kailere Joseph did not run in this meet, she was a joy to coach and we congratulate her on completing her first cross country season!!

There are others that played a part in our successful season. We give a special heartfelt thanks to our founder/head coach Naomi Davis, our cross country coach Stepfon Davis, our Junior Coaches Kaiyah Davis-Mitchell, Jeramiah Davis, and to all our parents for their commitment to their children and our club.
