On Saturday, February 23, 2019, the Vegas Stealth Track Meet marked the official start of the outdoor track season for Las Vegas Track clubs.  It was good to see familiar faces and rekindle old friendships and past experiences. In terms of running, it was good to see many future stars, especially the tiny ones. It was also great for Las Vegas Elite Runners (LVER) athletes to get a glimpse of their competition. On the track, LVER looked fly in their new uniforms and even more impressive on the track as Kaiyah

The Las Vegas Elite Runners started the track season early at the 28th Annual Arizona Classic at Northern Arizona University (NAU) in Flagstaff, Arizona, which offers beautiful forest scenery and wildlife that is refreshing. For those that love nature, it was the ideal getaway to relax and enjoy indoor track and field. While snow filled the skies and covered the ground outside, the Sky Dome provided the perfect environment for running that included over 300 heats of races. Kaiyah Davis-Mitchell finished her first season of cross country running at the National Junior Olympic Cross Country Championships in Reno, Nevada on December 8, 2018 and we couldn’t be prouder of her. With the help of Coach Stepfon and her teammate, Jeramiah Davis, Kaiyah continued to train at Mount Charleston and locally until she reached Reno. From the moment we arrived at Reno-Tahoe International, the Junior Olympic excitement was evident as we passed banners and signs and saw teams and runners arriving

Floyd Lamb Park, Las Vegas, NV The first race of the day was the Boys 8 and under 2K and Jordan Gowdy was ready to go with several family members in attendance.  After having a difficult first race, Jordan spent training time learning basic running tactics and how to pace himself.  He looked much better, going out at a comfortable pace just behind three lead runners.  After 800 meters, Jordan slowly moved up to second and at the mile marker, he closed the gap to 40 meters on the leader.  Looking

The Fresh Start XC Classic was Las Vegas Elite Runners first cross country meet of the season. This meet was a good experience for our runners because it was also the first time any of them ran a cross country course in competition. Until the meet, they could only imagine what a race would be like. Overall, all our runners did well as several finished in the middle of the pack. They accepted the challenge and gained valuable experience. The meet included many local teams, which gave both our staff
