October 3, 2021 On Sunday, October 3, 2021, six Las Vegas Elite Runners traveled to San Pedro, California and participated in the Pacific Coast Shockwaves XC Invitational. For these six runners, there was no such thing as a tune-up race. Peck Park with its long uphill climbs and narrow valleys is one of the more challenging courses we will run this season. Also challenging our runners was the fact that California clubs were participating in their third meet this season, while our Las Vegas Elite Runners were competing for the first

August 30, 2021 As we enter another cross country season, everyone is excited by the enthusiasm and growth of our team. This season we welcome 11 new cross country runners to the team. Although they are new to running long distance, and I truly mean new, they each bring a unique blend of athletic talent and character to the team. Our coaches and staff are excited and encouraged with the opportunity to mold these young athletes, with uniquely different running styles and capabilities, into something special. We can’t wait to expose

All season long these young athletes have led by example and produced outstanding performances week after week. As a team, our young Elite Runners stepped up with numerous outstanding performances and personal records (PRs) that they can be proud of and build upon for cross country and next track season. Elyjah Cobwell, in his quiet, skillful way, won bronze in the 100m and

June 11-13, 2021 University of Nevada Las Vegas – Myron Partridge Stadium In triple degree temperatures, the Las Vegas Elite Runners finished the last of their Las Vegas meets with 5 first place finishes, 12 top three finishes, 13 personal records, 20 top five finishes and 26 top 8 finishes in the 31 events they competed in at the USATF Nevada Youth Association Championships at UNLV. We could not be prouder of our young Elite athletes for braving the heat and putting forth tremendous fight and grit in all their events. With this meet

NFZ Invitational, PM Session Pearson Community Center North Las Vegas, Nevada May 15, 2021 Las Vegas Elite Runners continue gradual progress at No Fly Zone Meet During the PM session of the No Fly Zone Meet on Saturday May 15, 2021, our Las Vegas Elite Runners continued to drop their times as the season enters its final weeks. Things were a little different this meet as we ran in the evening for the first time and competed against older athletes where seeding was based on time only not age. This was a good change up for

USATF Nevada Youth #3 Pearson Community Center North Las Vegas, Nevada May 8, 2021 New Runners for Las Vegas Elite Runners Show Out, Others Set Season Best Marks! The Las Vegas Elite Runners participated in the USATF Nevada Youth #3 meet on Saturday, May 8, 2021 and several newcomers showed up and showed out to the pleasant surprise of all. These gifted athletes definitely were not the norm as they each posted top times in their age groups with only one week of practice.  Other Las Vegas Elite Runners showed they were also ready to roll,

The Las Vegas Elite Runners began their season with two out-of-town meets at Hamilton High School (3/27/2021) and the USATF 56th Phoenix Invitational at Chandler High School (4/24-25/2021) both in Chandler, AZ.  For athletes, parents, and coaches it was a welcome opportunity to travel and finally compete after weeks of practice.   This year the team has grown significantly to over 25 athletes.  From my observations, I find this group of kids to be talented, hardworking, and playful (sometimes too much but that is okay, they are kids).  Below is a brief overview of what
