November 21, 2020 Floyd Lamb Park The Las Vegas Elite Runners completed their last local cross country meet of the season on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Floyd Lamb Regional Park. On Saturday November 14th, four Las Vegas Elite Runners participated in the AAU sponsored Western Regional Cross Country (XC) Championship at Craig Ranch Regional Park in North Las Vegas, Nevada. Floyd Lamb Park, Las Vegas, Nevada November 07, 2020 Jasiah Davis, Roland Johns-Clemmons, Christoph Clemmons, and Kailere Joseph participated in the Nevada Youth Cross Country Championship on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Floyd Lamb Park. For each, it was a familiar course that offered a chance to face local talent. The top finisher of the day was Jasiah Davis who finished 1st the Boys 7-8 2K Division.  Roland Johns-Clemmons took 2nd in the same race. The Las Vegas Elite Runners traveled to Flagstaff, Arizona for their first meet of the 2020 season. This year there was no snow - thank God. This made for a beautiful trip. On Sunday November 10, 2019, the Las Vegas Elite Runners participated in the San Diego RoadRunners Cross Country meet and got a glimpse of the regional course. The course at Kit Carson Park offered a nice variation of dirt, grass, soft gravel and concrete running surfaces. The shaded trees, two cascading hills and a long-fast downhill drop presented a nice challenge for our runners. For the second year in a row, the Las Vegas Elite Runners participated in the Danny Gans Memorial Champions Run For Life in support of the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation (NVCCF) who assist families with children diagnosed with a debilitating disease or critical illness and adults touched by cancer.
